Making the World a Greener Place, One Bed at a Time

Restwell is proud to be an environmentally-conscious company that actively contributes to the maintenance of a healthy environment. Our product lines are not only of the highest quality, but have been developed while keeping sustainability top-of-mind.

ECO-FRIENDLY OPERATIONS

Our Commitment to the Environment

With today’s mass consumption and mass production, it can be challenging to find manufacturers that take part in green initiatives and who have a strong commitment to the environment. However, here at Restwell Sleep Products, we have existing green practices and products that embody who we are as a company.

We aggressively administer recycling programs that touch every corner of our operations, from the corporate office to the manufacturing floor. Restwell recycles 100% of our scrap cardboard, plastic, and wood reducing the overwhelming amount of waste that consumes our ecosystem. In addition, all excess foam, fabric, and fiber from our quilting machines are compressed and turned into new goods, such as pillows and dog beds.

ECO-FRIENDLY OPERATIONS

Our Commitment to the Environment

The beds we produce exemplify our commitment to the environment through the eco-friendly materials we use to manufacture them. For example, our ECOTEX® foam is derived from soy-based polyols, minimizing the amount of petroleum used in the foam. Restwell has also created an entire product line with a reduced environmental impact.

Our Novopure brand of mattresses utilizes bamboo, cotton fabrics, and environmentally friendly foams, further showcasing Restwell’s growing effort to be green. In addition, we only manufacture all-wood foundations, avoiding the use of environmentally harmful materials. The wood used for the bases is then replenished through Restwell’s Forests for Tomorrow Program.

Forest for tomorrow Program

A Sustainable Partnership

Restwell acknowledges the importance of being environmentally responsible, and is continuously administering new programs and government partnerships that lower our carbon footprint. Our Forests For Tomorrow Program is the result of our partnership with the Ministry of Forests and Range, and allows us to plant more trees than we use each year.

We value Mother Nature and are dedicated to replenishing the wood resources that we use, from the paper in our printers to the wood in our bases. Our goal is to ensure that the environment is sustained for future generations to come.

Kelowna, BC | 2016- 2019
Restwell Sleep Products has remained committed to the Forests for Tomorrow program. We've replanted plots near Prince George, as well as around BC. By replanting in this area we are contributing to the rejuvenation of this forest, and restoring the homes of Canadian Wildlife.
Kamloops, BC | 2015
In 2015 we planted near Kamloops, B.C. in an area that was devastated by a wildfire. By replanting in this area we are contributing to the rejuvenation of this forest, and restoring the homes of Canadian Wildlife. We planted 49,202 trees which covered 27.4 hectares of land. We have now surpassed our goal of planting 50,000 trees by 2020! We are committed to replenishing Canada's forests in the future through our Forest For Tomorrow program.
Johnson Lake, BC | 2014
In 2014 we planted near Johnson Lake, B.C. in an area that was devastated by a wildfire. The fire was discovered on July 28, 2006, and destroyed 68.5 hectares of forest area. By replanting in this area we are contributing to the rejuvenation of this forest. Restwell was able to replant 10% of the forest affected by the wildfire. We planted 8,330 trees which covers 6.7 hectares of land!
Mackenzie,BC | 2013
We plant our trees in areas of need.  We choose our specific block due to it being affected by a wildfire burn that started in 2006 from a lightening strike.   Not only do we help restore the eco-system, we help return life to areas that have been destroyed and encountered ecological devastation. Restwell planted 8,900 trees in 2013.  We hope to plant 50,000 trees by 2020.  Help us reach our goal by purchasing a Restwell base.
